Meet Denise

Denise understands the hard and thankless job agriculturist pay, but see it as an amazing life that teaches valuable lessons every single day.

Meet Denise:

Describe your operation.

Denise along with her family run a 800 head dairy operation along with a 300 head beef cattle operation.

What Made you Interested in Serving on the NDBC?

With Denise growing up in the livestock auction business and continuing to work as an office manager for her local market, she sees first hand the importance of promoting the beef industry. She has taken it upon herself to advocate for the industry that she knows and loves dearly.

What is one thing you have learned about the checkoff you didn't know before serving?

Through her involvement on the NDBC board, Denise has found an appreciation for intricacy of the planning of how checkoff dollars are invested. With having a short tenure on the board, Denise has enjoyed learning more, but can already see the great value that each dollar invested brings back to North Dakota producers.

What is a checkoff message you relay to neighbors and fellow producers?

Denise wants all producers to know that contributing to Beef Checkoff is important for every producer in North Dakota. She states "Our dollars are a small contribution for a huge payoff for our industry".

Why is it important to promote beef?

Rohweder understands that American consumers in particular are bombarded with so much information daily and finds that much of the information consumers digest is incorrect and can actually hurt our industry. She feels that the beef producers of North Dakota should proudly advocate for the industry.
